Ruben Balauro was among the roll of newly licensed criminologists, with the exam results released just days after his death |
Indeed, Balauro passed the Criminologists Licensure Examination (CLE), yet he wasn’t even able to know that he did because he passed away before the results were released.
According to Balauro’s brother-in-law, Samuel Casipong Relon, they had just celebrated his mother-in-law’s birthday (Balauro’s mom) the previous day at their hometown, Bulwang, Mabinay, in Negros Oriental.
The following day, February 25, Balauro and his younger sister were on their way to Dumaguete City, the capital of Negros Oriental, when the motorcycle that he was driving hit a parked truck. It was dawn and the area was dim. So, the family believes that the young man didn’t notice the parked truck until it was too late.
Sadly, the impact was so strong that the young man was thrown underneath the truck, leading to his untimely death. Thankfully, his sister survived despite also being injured from the impact.
The family laments the situation, blaming the truck driver for the hazardous manner in which it had been parked in that dark area, leading to Balauro’s untimely passing. They also felt sad that their family member wasn’t able to celebrate becoming a registered criminologist due to the accident.
Posts on Facebook by several of Balauro’s family members also went viral as people mourned the young man’s death and shared bittersweet congratulatory remarks on his achievement in passing the board exams…
RIP, Ruben Estonanto Balauro, Registered Criminologist.
