MANILA, Philippines – The duo of AC Bonifacio and Ashley Ortega has officially returned to the outside world as the first evictees of Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Collab Edition after earning the lowest number of save votes.
During its live eviction night on Saturday, March 29, AC and Ashley got the least save votes with 17.25%—compared to votes garnered by the saved duo housemates Ralph de Leon and Michael Sager (45.89%) and Will Ashley and River Joseph (36.87%).
Despite their early exit, AC and Ashley shared their joy in becoming housemates and the lessons they learned during their stay in the PBB house.
Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee entered the house as house guest on Saturday.
In this special edition of PBB, in collaboration with GMA Network, housemates will come in duos each week—a combination of a Kapamilya and a Kapuso—and will face nomination and eviction together.
Earlier, PBB host Bianca Gonzales said the duo format is new in the Philippines, but it has already been done in Spain, Nigeria and The Netherlands.
"Duo nominations and evictions totally change the 'game' and will put to the test this batch of housemates in a wildly different way compared to past seasons," Gonzales added.
The next set of nominees for eviction is expected to be announced on next Saturday after the new duo formation.
