MANILA, Philippines – The February 2025 Respiratory Therapist board exam results, to include the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools, are expected to be released on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2025 or in two (2) working days after the exams.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Respiratory Therapy administered the licensure exam for respiratory therapist (LERT) in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Pagadian on February 11 and 12, 2025.

REGISTRATION OF PASSERS
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.
Date of Registration: TBA
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examinations WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.
VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
Respiratory Therapist board exam verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online. Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this can be available in few days after the exam.
COVERAGE OF EXAM
The February 2025 Respiratory Therapist board exams covered topics from Diagnostics (25%), Pathophysiology (25%), Respiratory Care (25%) and Neonatal and Pediatric Care (25%).
RELEASE OF RESULTS
According to PRC Resolution No. 1927 series 2024 for the 'Schedule of Licensure Examinations for the year 2025', the target release of Respiratory Therapist board exam results is on Friday, February 14 or in two (2) working days after the exam.
Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice.
PREVIOUS EXAMS
In the February 2024 Respiratory Therapists Licensure Examination, a total of 1,077 out of 1,383 successfully passed the exams. Adrian Justin Gallo Marasigan from Perpetual Help College of Manila aced the board with 91.75%.
In the February 2023 Respiratory Therapist board exams, PRC named 955 out of 1,345 who passed the exams. Prince Joshua Guzman Carag (Cagayan State University - Andrews Campus), Elaine Fleur Usman Fino (Emilio Aguinaldo College-Dasmarinas), Shaira Lynneth Ludovice (University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna), Hiyasmin Cortez Ramos (CSU-Andrews Campus) and Michel Josef Maglantay Ramos (University of Batangas) all tied on highest spot with 90.75%.
In the February 2022 Respiratory Therapist board exams, a total of 194 out of 397 passed the exams. John Fredrick Decierdo Tabañag from Cebu Doctors University aced the board with 89.25%.
In the September 2021 LERT, PRC named 109 out of 186 who passed the tests. Neil Lester Mansueto Deocampo from San Pedro College - Davao City topped the board with 85.25%.
In the March 2021 board exam, the agency named 294 out of 467 who passed the exams. Reinour Amilhamja Nebab from Universidad de Zamboanga led the passers with 87.50%.
In the September 2019 LERT, a total of 838 out of 1,227 passed the exams. Wendy Abigail Navarro Pulido of Central Luzon Doctor's Hospital Educational Institution and Christine Leyte Tayona of Cagayan State University (CSU)-Andrews Campus tied on highest spot with 88%.
CSU-Andrews Campus led the schools for Respiratory Therapist board exams from September 2017 to March 2021 and February 2023 and 2024.
Results were out in two (2) working days after the last day of examination.

ABOUT THE PROFESSION
A respiratory therapist is a healthcare professional that specializes in the treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities in the cardiopulmonary system. As a healthcare professional, the respiratory therapist is under the medical direction of a physician.
Among the functions of a licensed respiratory therapist are: provides tentative interpretation of tests obtained from physiological specimens, implements treatment programs on the basis of test findings within the scope of respiratory analysis, performs pulmonary function testing (PFT) maneuvers cardiopulmonary resuscitation and provide artificial airway.
The 4-year course in Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy in the Philippines is estimated to be Php 45,000 per semester.
