MANILA, Philippines – Netizens called out Kapuso trivia master and TV host Kuya Kim Atienza after he made a joke about a crime news story shared by GMA News on their official Instagram account on December 31, 2024.

The headline reported about a decapitated man whose body was found lying on the roadside in Negros Occidental.
It can be read, “Lalaking putol ang ulo, nakitang nakahandusay sa tabi ng kalsada sa Negros Occidental.”
In the caption, it says, “ BABALA: Sensitibong balita”
“Bumulagta sa tabi ng kalsada ang katawan ng isang lalaki na nakahiwalay ang ulo matapos na pagtatagain umano ng dating kaaway sa Cauayan, Negros Occidental.”
In the comment section of the news post, Kuya Kim's verified Instagram account (@kuyakim_atienza) can be seen leaving a joking comment.
“Anong sabi niya? Ok ok bad joke [raising hands emoji],” he said.
Netizens did not let this slide and called out the GMA trivia master/TV host for his comment.

After being bashed for his comment, it was noticed that Kuya Kim had deleted his post. However, netizens continued to express negative reactions due to his actions.
