Christine Requerque Pedido won AED 1 million, equivalent to over P16 million, after emerging as a winner in the Big Ticket December e-draw in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Christine’s path to success started six years ago when she first came to the UAE. At that time, as a newcomer striving to make a living, purchasing a Big Ticket was beyond her means. At the time, she couldn’t afford to buy a ticket. This year, after seeing its Facebook promotion, she decided to give it a try.
Pedido was able to purchase a ticket through the collective effort of her ten colleagues, pooling their money together.
“I never expected this would happen. To win on my very first ticket feels absolutely surreal,” Christine said, her smile radiating pure joy, according to “Travels Dubai.”
“It proves that luck can find you when you least expect it,” she added.
Although Christine’s victory was personal, it was made possible through the combined efforts of her colleagues. She teamed up with ten coworkers to pool their funds and purchase the ticket, adding a shared sense of triumph to her win.
Their collaborative approach brought extra excitement to the experience, and now, they are collectively planning how to make the most of their newfound fortune.
“We’re still deciding whether to save the prize money or invest it in a business,” Christine said.
Throughout December, the Big Ticket Millionaire series has been awarding impressive prizes, with four fortunate winners each week taking home AED 1 million.
