"Nag-ipon ako don sa secret na lalagyan kasi para 'di nila alam," according to Rogelio Fortes who is also a sari-sari store owner.
Over the course of two years of saving coins, he is estimated to have accumulated P126,000.
The handful of coins went towards buying a brand new motorcycle, which he gave as a gift for his son.
"Hindi ko po expect na mabibilhan niya ako ng motor kasi wala din po siyang sinabi sa akin," according to his son, who was given a motorcycle as a gift for having high grades.
Fortes considers his secret savings as a challenge and he considered it as a mission success.
Meanwhile, Fortes reminded those who will participate in ipon challenge that it doesn't matter how much you save because what's more important is to just keep going.
