MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released today, December 13 (Friday) the list of passers in the Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) conducted nationwide on September 29, 2024. This includes the passers for Elementary and Secondary levels.
As announced, a total of 68,900 out of 129,928 (53.03%) hurdled the September 2024 LET.
PRC named 20,025 elementary teachers out of 44,002 examinees (45.51%) and 48,875 secondary teachers out of 85,926 examinees (56.88%) who successfully passed the exams.
It is further announced that of the 20,025 elementary teacher passers, 16,340 are first timers and 3,685 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 41,190 passers are first timers and 7,685 are repeaters.
The results of examination with respect to thirty-four (34) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.
On Thursday, PRC confirmed with The Summit Express that LET results will be released any time today, December 13.
The second regular teachers board exam this year was administered on Sunday, September 29, 2024 in at least 38 testing centers nationwide and in Bangkok, Thailand.

About Professional Teachers (LPT)
According to the law, passing the LET administered by PRC is required before one can practice elementary school teaching or secondary school teaching.
An elementary teacher facilitates the initial and developmental learning activities of pupils from kindergarten to Grade 6. Meanwhile, a secondary teacher aims to strengthen and sustain the continuous progressive learning and development of students from 7 to 12.
Under the law, no person shall practice or offer to practice the teaching profession in the Philippines or be appointed as teacher to any position without having previously obtained a valid certificate of registration and a valid professional license from the Commission.
Today, teachers constitute more than half a million, comprising one of the largest occupational groups in the country.
Reminders for passers
On Friday, PRC is expected to announce as well the schedule of registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration. The requirements are the following:
1) Notice of Admission (for identification only);
2) downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
3) two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag);
4) two sets of documentary stamps;
5) 1 piece short brown envelope.
Note that the successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
