MANILA, Philippines – "Incognito" star Maris Racal has finally broken her silence on the cheating controversy involving her and her love team partner, Anthony Jennings.
In an exclusive interview with ABS-CBN News on Friday, December 6, she shared her feelings about the incident.

Maris admitted that she no longer knew what to do because, wherever she went, almost every eye was on her, making her feel like a woman stripped bare.
“I don’t know where to go. Whenever I go out whenever I walk I feel like a woman naked. Hindi ko alam ano gagawin ko. I'm so embarrassed,” Maris said.

Maris stated that she is taking accountability for everything that has happened.
“Today I will take the accountability for everything. Nagkamali ako and I want to say sorry for everything that I have done,” she said.
Maris admitted her mistake, and it all started in June 2024. She was lonely and was getting attention from Anthony, which led her to be carried away by her emotions, and she knew it was wrong.
She told everything to Rico, and that became the reason why he broke up with her. She was crying during the media conference where she confirmed their break-up. The reason was she was holding back the truth.
She told Anthony that she and Rico had already broken up. She admitted that she felt lonely and vulnerable because of the recent breakup. Since they were often together, she found herself falling for Anthony because of his sweetness, gentlemanly ways, and how he frequently kissed her on set. Anthony also claimed he was single, so to those who knew them, they both appeared unattached.
In September 2024, their connection deepened while they were filming Incognito in Italy. On their way back home, it happened to be her birthday, and they got stuck at the airport. Anthony said heartfelt things and made promises to her, which led her to post on her Instagram as a gesture of appreciation for him.
Two days later, she came across Jam's posts on TikTok. She reached out to Jam, not because she and Anthony were still together, but because she knew Jam was going through something.
She asked Anthony if he and Jam had gotten back together, but he said no. She also asked if he still loved Jam, and again, he said no. She then inquired when Anthony planned to release a statement about being single, and he replied that he was waiting for the right moment.
On Halloween, Jam posted on her Instagram, which triggered a wave of bashing toward Maris. During the press conference for Incognito, Anthony released a statement declaring that he was single, but it was already too late because Maris had already started to distance herself from him romantically.
She thought everything would be fine, but the screenshot came out, and she saw it at 10 PM on a Tuesday night. She was shocked and embarrassed because people saw it without her consent.
It became the perfect narrative, with the "other woman" and an apologetic, avoidant boyfriend caught between two women—the scarred woman. That's her side of the story, and she doesn't see anything wrong with it.
According to Maris' side, the reason Anthony couldn't release a statement was because they were still together the entire time. She had no idea and had asked multiple times and requested a statement. It turns out that both of them were clueless about what Anthony was doing with them.
She’s sorry that her very intimate side was exposed. This is how she loves—wholeheartedly. Maris was sad that people saw it, and she doesn’t want to play the victim here because she knows she made a mistake.
She also reached out to Jam in November because she wanted to know the truth. She apologized to those who supported her for 10 years. They know that they helped build her career—something she worked hard for with their help.
In a Facebook post by Star Magic on Friday night, Anthony apologized to Maris and Jam and everybody who were affected by the controversy.
"Sa lahat ho ng mga nangyari nung nakaraang araw, sa lahat ho ng mga taong nasaktan ko, especially po si Maris tsaka si Jam, humihingi ho ako ng tawad sa dalawang babae and sa lahat po ng mga nadamay ko rin po. 'Yun lamang po, sorry po ulit," he said in a 22-second video.
