MANILA, Philippines – Instead of getting rid of stress and pain in the body, a man broke a bone after undergoing a session of a fake chiropractor.

In a News5 report, a man from Cagayan de Oro cried out in pain in the middle of the said session. After getting a massage last November, he suffered a broken leg and an x-ray showed a fracture in his bone.

According to the victim, he has already spent a lot at the hospital and it has reached more than P170,000.

Meanwhile, Dr. Rob Walcher, licensed chiropractor, warned the public about the spread of fake sessions.

"It says hilot. It's not a chiropractor."

"You're seeing the sensation of everyone doing their copying chiropractors. You see all the manipulations of the spine and their adjusting all of these joints," the licensed chiropractor added.

Walcher also said, it takes 8 years of chiropractor training and it's not something you just learned on social media.

"It's not something you just take for 2 week on YouTube course, it's 8 years because we are licensed doctors," he said.

Walcher warned, it is very dangerous to do chiropractic without a license because it can result in serious injuries or worse, death.

For now, the victim is recovering and plans to file a complaint against the fake chiropractor.
