‘Ma, board passer na ako!’ Fast food service crew beamed with pride and joy as she passes LET

MANILA, Philippines – The video of a female fast food service crew member discovering that she passed the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LET) on Friday, December 13, touched the hearts of netizens.

In the viral video shared by her colleague, Caizer Jhon Lumibao, they can be seen checking the board exam results from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) using a cellphone.

Even while on duty, board passer Lyka Jane Nagal couldn’t contain her joy as she jumped with excitement upon learning that she had passed the LET and was now a fully licensed teacher.

Lyka immediately shared the good news with her family, especially her mother.

Moments later, she sat down in a corner, overcome with emotion. After a short while, she stood up and resumed her duties at work.

Many service crew members working in fast food chains juggle both work and studies, using their jobs as a stepping stone to finance their education. Thus, Lyka's success in passing the LET will serve as a bridge for her to leave her role as a service crew member and pursue a career as a teacher in a school.
