According to P/Major Arvin John Cambang, chief of police of the Pikit Municipal Police Station, the victim’s job was as a barangay treasurer before he passed the board exam.

He was also a teacher at a private school in Barangay Macabual, Tugunan, a Special Geographic Area (SGA) in BARMM.

Police investigation revealed that while the victim was on his way home, he was shot by two unidentified suspects.

Six empty bullet casings believed to be from a 9mm caliber were recovered from the crime scene.

The victim was taken to the hospital but also died from a gunshot wound to the head.

According to Cambang, they are looking into the possible motive of community-engaged violence.

Currently, the police already have persons of interest but they are still gathering information and evidence to formally file a complaint.
