MANILA, Philippines – Kevin Quiambao has confirmed his departure from the De La Salle University (DLSU) men's basketball team.
After losing the UAAP Season 87 men's basketball Finals against the University of the Philippines (UP), Quiambao announced his departure from DLSU and the end of his college journey.

In his announcement on Monday, December 16, Quiambao said goodbye to his home of the past few years as he pursues his NBA dream.
“To Lasallian Community, OSD. Thankyou for 3 wonderful seasons, a lot of sweat, tears and sacrifices. Thank you for making me a Great Student-Athlete.”
“Coach Topex and Coach Migs Aytona, I Love You and thank you for unlocking and unleashing KQ,” he added.
Quiambao has also announced the next phase of his career after playing at the famous UAAP school.
According to Quiambao, he will now play professional basketball with the Goyang Sono SkyGunners team in the Korean Basketball League.
“With that being said, My college career comes to an end, i will Pursue my NBA dream and start my journey by playing professional ball in Goyang Sono SkyGunners and developing my game even more,” Quiambao said.
Quiambao has not announced when he will start playing for the SkyGunners.
Quiambao ended his collegiate career as a two-time UAAP MVP, winning the top individual award in Season 86 and 87.
In Korea, he will join fellow Filipinos like Carl Tamayo, SJ Belangel, brothers Juan and Javi Gomez de Liaño and Justin Gutang.
