MANILA, Philippines – Netizens wondered why actress Angel Locsin is still a no show on ABS-CBN's Christmas ID this year.
In the released ABS-CBN Christmas ID 2024 titled 'Our Stories Shine This Christmas' on Monday, December 2, Angel's face is still nowhere to be found.

ABS-CBN Christmas ID 2024 includes famous Kapamilya artists such as Vice Ganda, Coco Martin, Kim Chiu, Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Anne Curtis, Sarah Geronimo, Piolo Pascual, Gerald Anderson, Joshua Garcia, Gary Valenciano, Regine Velasquez and many more.
P-pop girl group BINI also starred in ABS-CBN's Christmas ID this year.
Even though the Christmas ID is filled with Kapamilya stars, netizens thought and searched for Angel.
@AngelLocsin____: “Angel Locsin when ka ba babalik? Miss ka na ng lahat.”
@Darnafantastic: “Taon taon nalang Angel Locsin hahanap hanapin ka talaga ng madla tuwing abs cbn CSID, sana last mo nayang hiatus mo madam.”
@faneyakez: “Parang present naman ata lahat ng OG A-listers ng ABS. Si Angel Locsin na lang talaga inaantay.”
Angel has been out of showbiz for a long time and hasn't even made a TV appearance.
Angel last appeared in ABS-CBN Christmas Station ID 2020, where she wore a face shield due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
In September 2024, actress Dimples Romana, Angel's friend, revealed a little update on the actress' life.
Dimples said Angel is enjoying her time away from showbiz.
“Parang nag-e-enjoy pa po siya sa kanyang life at home. Iba rin kasi, naiintindihan ko po kasi ako rin bilang pamilyado ako parang kung ako rin, alam mo kung kasing yaman ako ni Angel, nasa bahay na rin talaga ako,” Dimples said.
The actress added that her friend has also not been into social media for a long time now.
"I think hindi siya nagso-social media. I think it is a wonderful choice because ngayon din ‘di ba, a lot of the news is also — ako nga sometimes when I watch a news, I feel anxious, I feel worried for the future, so it’s nice that she’s taking this time all for herself. Beautiful choice,” Dimples said.
In April this year, Dimples said that Angel and her husband Neil Arce are still happily married.

"She's very, very happy and happily married, and Neil is taking very good care of her," Dimples shared.
On Neil's Instagram, it is notable that the last post he made with Angel was in August 2022 where they went on vacation together outside the country.
Before the August trip post, Neil also had a post in July 2022 where the two celebrated their anniversary and even called the actress "the best wife ever."
But when it comes to Angel's return to showbiz, it is still unclear when it will return or if it still has plans to return to the entertainment industry.
