Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has declared victory over Democratic rival Kamala Harris in the 2024 US presidential election.
Trump is now on cusp of a historic comeback as the first former president to return to the White House in more than 130 years.

As of press time, Trump is needing just three electoral votes to become the 47th president of USA.
Meanwhile, Harris has not conceded the election to Trump.
The winning candidate needs at least 270 electoral votes to win the presidency. Harris hoped to become the first woman to serve as president; but Trump received the majority of Electoral College electors from voters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
One of Trump’s winning swing votes was when he bagged Georgia’s 16 electoral votes. He also won in Indiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina.
He is also expected to bag Pennsylvania with 19 electoral votes. Analysts noted that Trump’s victory came largely after he earned the favor of Hispanic voters, and people who suffered “economically” during the term of former President Joe Biden.
Prior to his victory, Trump took the stage in Florida on election night to address his supporters, saying that he’s looking forward to healing the country.
He said, "This is the greatest political movement of all time. Now it is going to reach a new level of importance because we're going to help our country heal."
