MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. promptly extended his congratulations to the "projected" United States President-elect Donald Trump after he led in the 2024 US Presidential Elections.

According to his Facebook page, PBBM has already referred to Donald Trump as "President Trump," acknowledging his victory and celebrating the triumph of the American people. He also extended congratulations, highlighting their achievement in an electoral process that demonstrated the resilience of American values to the world.
“President Trump has won, and the American people have triumphed. I congratulate them on their victory in an exercise that showed the world the strength of American values,” PBBM said.
PBBM is reportedly looking forward to working with Trump in the coming days, noting that they share similar values when it comes to freedom and democracy.
“We look forward to working with President Trump on a wide range of issues that will yield mutual benefits for two nations with deep ties, shared beliefs, a common vision, and a long history of working together.”
“I am hopeful that this unshakeable alliance, tested in war and peace, will be a force for good, blazing a path of prosperity and amity in the region and on both sides of the Pacific.”

Trump is returning to office after four years.
He was the 45th President of the United States, serving from 2017 to 2021.
In 2020, he was defeated by incumbent US President Joe Biden. Now, in 2024, he has beaten his toughest opponent, Democratic candidate and US Vice President Kamala Harris, in terms of vote count. As of the writing of this article, however, Trump’s victory has not yet been officially and formally declared.
