This Friday, November 29, the President told reporters face to face that he is not in favor of the impeachment plan against Duterte.
Marcos also confirms the text message urging lawmakers not to file impeachment raps against Duterte.
"Well, it was actually a private communication but na-leak na, yes. Because that’s really my opinion. This is not important. This does not make a difference to even one single Filipino life. So why waste time on it," Marcos said.
Marcos also emphasized that the impeachment plan against Duterte will not help the lives of Filipinos.
"What will happen if somebody files an impeachment? It will tie down the House, it will tie down the Senate. It will just take up all our time and for what? For nothing, for nothing. None of this will help improve a single Filipino life."
Meanwhile, it was only on Monday, November 25, that the President responded to Duterte's threats to him.
"Yang ganyang kriminal na pagtatangka ay hindi dapat pinapalagpas, yan ay aking papalagan," the President said.
Duterte recently warned that she has hired an assassin to kill Marcos, First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos and House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
