Miss Denmark Victoria Kjaer Theilvig was crowned Miss Universe 2024 on Sunday, November 17, 2024 (Philippine time) at the Arena CDMX in Mexico City, Mexico.

Victoria Kjaer Theilvig, 21, bested 124 other candidates from around the world. This was Denmark's first win in the pageant's history.
Miss Nigeria Chidimma Adetshina was named the first-runner up while Miss Mexico María Fernanda Beltran followed as second runner-up.
Miss Thailand Suchata Chuangsri and Miss Venezuela Ileana Márquez rounded out the top five as third and fourth runners-up, respectively.

Aside from winning the new "The Light of Infinity" crown, the new Miss Universe will take home skin care package for one year, cosmetics for one year, 2 carat ring from Pandora, Bulova watch and she will host a new Miss Universe travel show.
During the competition's Q&A portion, the Top 5 contestants were given the same question.
The question was: "This universe has inspired generations of women. What is your message to the ones watching you right now?"
"My message to all the world that are watching out there is no matter where you come from, no matter your past, you can always choose to turn it into your strengths. It will never define who you are. You just gotta keep fighting. I stand here today because I want to change, I want to make history, and that's what I'm doing tonight. So, never give up always, believe in yourself, in your dreams, and that is exactly what you're going to do. Thank you," Miss Denmark answered.
Victoria Kjaer succeeds the 2023 Miss Universe Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua.
Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines Chelsea Manalo managed to reach the Top 30 of the competition.
Manalo's inclusion gives the Philippines a two-year streak in making the first cut in Miss Universe.
The 73rd edition of Miss Universe marked the second time for the pageant to allow mothers and wives to compete.
