Robredo braves floodwaters to distribute relief goods in Naga

Former Vice President and mayoral candidate of Naga City, Atty. Leni Robredo, was seen wading through muddy flood waters while distributing clean water and relief goods to her fellow residents in Naga City, Camarines Sur.

Camarines Sur is one of the areas in the Bicol region severely affected by Severe Tropical Storm Kristine and has experienced flooding.

Several photos of Robredo, together with other volunteers distributing relief goods, can be seen on the Facebook page of the "Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership." The photos were taken by someone named "Egine Oquindo Baral.

"Sinuong ni former VP Leni Robredo ang mataas na baha para maghatid ng malinis na tubig at relief goods sa mga kababayan natin sa Naga City," it can be read in the caption.

Netizens praised Robredo's leadership and kindness, noting that she once ran for president in the May 2022 national elections but was unfortunately defeated by the current president, Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos, Jr. They said that Robredo's actions serve as a "light" in the darkness.

“Binigyan kayo ng pagkakataong bumoto nang tamang lider pero sinayang ng majority.”

“One of the best Philippine Presidents we never had! Ingat po Ma'am Leni Robredo! God bless you more and more.”

“I wish she was our president. Take care everyone.”

“One of the best public servants that we had. Very consistent in showing up in times of difficulty. A true leader and servant.”

“This!!! It's not that hindi kailangan ang pera pero as of now, ang kailangan ay ang agarang makakain at maiinom! Relief goods >>>>>> thank you volunteers headed by Atty. Leni!”

The Angat Buhay Foundation, a non-government organization (NGO) founded by Robredo, collaborated with the Kaya Natin! Movement for conducting relief operations for those affected by the typhoon.
