According to reports, the victim was stabbed to death by the patient allegedly over a joke. The victim was a 51-year-old female nurse working in Bohol Doctors Hospital.
Police Lt. Col. John Kareen Escober, chief of the Tagbilaran City Police Station, stated that the name of the victim was withheld as requested by the family. Meanwhile, the suspect was identified to be Marlito Cardines Linguis, 31 years old, and a drug surrenderer.
"He surrendered in 2016 or 2017. We are not sure if he is an active drug user until the time the attack happened,” said Escober.
According to reports, the suspect was taken to the hospital due to loose bowel movement, along with a few more individuals.
The suspect was set to be discharged, as his sibling was already processing the papers.
The victim made a joke to the suspect that he won't be able to leave, even after settling the bills. This didn't sit well with the suspect who grabbed a pair of scissors and stabbed the nurse multiple times in the hand, neck, and body.
A utility staff named Francis Mora Justiniare intervened to stop the attack but he was stabbed too. He, fortunately, survived. Security guards were able to apprehend the suspect until the police arrived.
The suspect is now detained at the custodial facility center of the Tagbilaran police and faces charges of murder and physical injury.

The patient has history of substance abuse. The nurses should set boundaries and take precautionary measures while handling this kind of demon patient at all times. In my opinion, this is the result of discontinued drug war.the devil patient might return back in taking illegal substances that is why he got to committing this kind of heinous crime again.
