Marcos declares July 27, 2025 a special non-working holiday

MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has issued Proclamation No. 729 declaring the founding anniversary of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) on July 27, 2025 as a special non-working day nationwide.

The proclamation was issued to give members of Iglesia Ni Cristo the full opportunity to participate in the occasion.

“Now, therefore, I, Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr., President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Sunday, 27 July 2025, a special (non-working) day throughout the country,” the President said in Proclamation 729.

The Proclamation was signed by Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin on October 30.

Meanwhile, the Malacañang Palace earlier released the official list of Philippine holidays for 2025.
