MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Science and Technology-Science Education Institute (DOST-SEI) is now officially accepting applications to the 2025 DOST-SEI S&T Undergraduate Scholarships.
Interested and eligible incoming college freshmen students for academic year 2025 to 2026 may submit their applications through the DOST-SEI scholarships e-application system at www.science-scholarships.ph until November 22, 2024.
Note: No need to visit DOST regional office to file an application
In addition, students should secure a valid email address, a working cellphone number, and a stable internet connection before accessing the site.
The pen and paper examinations are tentatively scheduled on April 5-6, 2025, at various testing centers nationwide.

- Last Day of Request for School Inclusion in the E-Application System: November 15, 2024
- Last Day of Online Application and Uploading of Requirements: November 22, 2024
- Schedule of Qualifying Examination: April 5-6, 2025
Who can apply?
1.1 Graduating Grade 12 male and female students in SY 2024-2025:
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class
1.2 Graduate of Grade 12 before SY 2024-2025 and did not enroll in college yet:
- STEM STRAND: All students belonging to the STEM class
- NON-STEM STRAND: Must be in the top 5% of the graduating class
1.3 Graduate of high school before the K-12 Program. Must belong to the top 5% of the graduating class.
2. Must be natural-born Filipino citizen.
3. Must be of good moral character and in good health.
4. May have applied to the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not qualify; OR may have qualified for the DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship but did not avail of the award; OR have not applied to any DOST-SEI Undergraduate Scholarship Program.
5. Must NOT have earned any post-secondary (college or vocational) units
What information should you know before filing your E-Application?
- Father's Annual Gross Income
- Mother's Annual Gross Income
- Spouse's Annual Gross Income (if applicable)
- If Legal Guardian is supporting Applicant, Legal Guardian's Annual Gross Income
- If family receives contribution from outside source: the giver, the amount of the contribution and the purpose of the contribution
- If family owns agricultural land: how many hectares
- If family owns vehicle: type, year and model
- Type: Ex. tricycle, passenger jeep, owner jeep, car, van
- Year and Model: Ex. 2023 Toyota Revo
Issuance of Test permit
If you are a qualified Applicant, we will issue you a Test Permit where your test center, test date and test session and other pertinent information relative to the examination will be indicated. You will receive your Test Permit through your registered email address sometime in January 2025.
Announcement of Scholarship Results
Check the SEI website: https://sei.dost.gov.ph for the announcements of the scholarship qualifiers tentatively in June 2025. If you qualify for the scholarship, you will be sent the Notice of Award through your registered email address.

Benefits of DOST Scholars
Successful applicants will study any priority science and technology course. Those enrolling in any state university or college (SUC) must take the mandatory entrance examination of that SUC. For those studying at any DOST-accredited private university or college, DOST will provide a tuition subsidy of P20,000.00 per semester.
Additional benefits include a monthly stipend of P8,000.00 for a 10-month period per school year, a book allowance of P5,000.00 per semester, a thesis allowance of P10,000.00 as an outright grant, transportation allowance for scholars studying outside their home province, a one-time clothing allowance in their first year of college, and a graduation allowance after graduation.
