MANILA, Philippines – Some local government units suspended classes for Tuesday, September 3, 2024, due to Tropical Storm “Enteng” and the southwest monsoon or habagat.

This list will be updated as soon as local or national authorities make their advisories.

METRO MANILA AND CALABARZON

Classes at all levels in public and private schools and work in government offices in the National Capital Region and Region IV-A are hereby suspended tomorrow, September 3, 2024 (Tuesday), according to the Presidential Communications Office (PCO).

Note: The suspension of work in private companies and offices is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

PAGASA weather forecast

As of 1:00 pm on Monday, the center of Tropical Storm Enteng was estimated based on all available data including from Baler Weather Radar over the coastal waters of Casiguran, Aurora.

'Bagyong Enteng' has maximum sustained winds of 85 km/h near the center, gustiness of up to 105 km/h, and central pressure of 990 hPa.

'Enteng' is forecast to continue moving generally north northwestward or northward and make landfall over the northern portion of Aurora (Dilasag-Casiguran) or the southeastern portion of Isabela (Dinapigue) in the next 3 hours.

Tomorrow (September 3) early morning, the tropical storm is forecast to turn more northwestward over the landmass of mainland Northern Luzon and emerge over the Luzon Strait by late morning of the same day.

Tropical cyclone wind signal (TCWS) No. 2 was raised over Luzon areas, including the following:

  • Ilocos Norte
  • Apayao
  • the eastern portion of Kalinga (Rizal, Pinukpuk, City of Tabuk)
  • Cagayan including Babuyan Islands
  • Isabela
  • Quirino
  • the northern portion of Aurora (Casiguran, Dilasag, Dinalungan, Dipaculao, Baler)
  • Polillo Islands
  • the northern portion of Camarines Norte (Santa Elena, Capalonga, Jose Panganiban, Paracale, Vinzons)

Signal No. 1 is in effect over the following areas:
