MANILA, Philippines – Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) and Light Rail Transit Authority Line 2 (LRT-2) have a good news this week for government employees.
MRT-3 and LRT-2 announced that they have a free ride gift for government employees. It will last from September 18 to 20, Wednesday to Friday.
The said free ride is in solidarity with the 124th anniversary celebration of the Philippine Civil Service.
"Binabati at pinasasalamatan po natin ang lahat ng mga empleyado ng gobyerno na naglilingkod nang tapat para sa kapakanan ng publiko. Layon ng libreng sakay ng MRT-3 na makapaghatid ng kahit kaunting kasiyahan sa kanila na tanda ng aming pagsaludo at pasasalamat sa kanilang mga sakripisyo. Mabuhay ang mga kawani ng gobyerno!" MRT-3 General Manager Oscar B. Bongon said.
For MRT-3, the first train trip from North Avenue Station is scheduled at 4:30 am and 5:05 am from Taft Avenue Station.

Meanwhile, the last trip is scheduled at 9:30 pm at North Avenue Station and 10:09 pm at Taft Avenue Station.
As for LRT-2, there is just limited time for the free rides. It will start at 7:00 am until 9:00 am and will be back in the afternoon scheduled at 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm.

To avail the free ride, a government employee only needs to show his or her agency/office ID that will prove that he or she is a government employee.
