Alam mo ‘yong masarap sa feeling? ‘Yong hindi mo inasahang mangyayari, pero ibinigay pa rin ‘yo ni Lord!
Just like what happened to Felipe Jimenez Jr. from the City of Borongan in Eastern Samar, who topped the September 2022 Electrical Engineering Licensure Examination with a rating of 94.10%. He graduated from Eastern Samar State University Borongan Campus.
Because of the honor he brought, he was awarded a cash incentive of P50,000 by the local city government. Borongan City Mayor Jose Ivan Dayan Agda personally handed the check to the topnotcher on September 13.
He was also honored by his alma mater and was awarded medals, certificates, tokens, a plaque of recognition, and P15,000 in cash incentives.
In an interview with DYES-Radyo ng Bayan-Borongan, a local AM radio station, Jimenez admitted that he did not expect to be among the topnotchers, as his only goal was to pass the exam.
If he were to give advice to board exam takers on the key to passing, or even becoming a topnotcher, it would be "consistency." He can say that "consistency is the key" because he followed the study and review schedule he set for himself. He also never skipped the 30-minute break to relax.
So when he became a topnotcher, he immediately hugged his parents, whom he had already apologized to beforehand, thinking he might not pass because he admitted that the exam questions were difficult. Little did he know, not only did he pass, but he also ranked number 1!
Aside from being an engineer, Jimenez is currently giving lectures at the review center where he did his own review.
Congratulations, Felipe Jimenez Jr!
