MANILA, Philippines – The August 2024 Food Technologist board exam results, including the full list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools, are released online on August 29, 2024 or in two (2) working days after the last day of examinations.
As announced, 510 out of 995 (51.26%) passed the exams.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the food tech licensure exam in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao on August 22 and 23, 2024.

Food Technology is the newly regulated profession under Republic Act No. 110521, also known as “Philippine Food Technology Act”.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING
Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to https://online.prc.gov.ph/ and follow instructions for initial registration.
Date of Registration: Starting October 14, 2024
Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
The date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examination WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER, PRC said.
VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
Food tech board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.
Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.
COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
The two-day examination covered the following subjects:
Day 1 (August 22, 2024): physical, chemical, biological and microbiological principles (25%); food laws and regulations and concepts of food science and technology, food safety, food analysis, food research and nutrition (25%)
Day 2 (August 23, 2024): food processing, preservation and food engineering (25%); food quality assurance and sensory evaluation and other aspects of food manufacturing (25%)
RELEASE OF RESULTS
According to PRC Resolution No. 1836 s. 2024, the target release of results for the recent Food tech board exam is on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 or after two (2) working days.
Update: Operations in PRC offices in the National Capital Region (NCR) was suspended on August 28, 2024 due to moderate to heavy rains caused by the Southwest Monsoon. This is pursuant to the declaration of the Office of the Executive Secretary upon recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.
With this development, results may be released on later date without prior notice.
