Artem Dolgopyat from Israel settled for silver medal with a score of 14.966.

This served as a bounce back win for Yulo after a 12th place finish in the men's artistic gymnastics individual all-around finals last Thursday.

In the qualification round, Yulo was ranked as the second best gymnast.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Filipino-British gymnast Jake Jarman who topped the qualification, secured bronze after his 14.933 score.

Yulo will still have the vault apparatus on Sunday, August 4 where he will try to bring home another gold for the country.

In 2021, Yulo finished fourth in the vault event of the Tokyo games and a dismal 44th in the floor exercise.

Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz delivered the historic first gold for the Philippines in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
