SONA 2024 Highlights

President Marcos said his SONA speech is not too long but full of accomplishments.

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin G. Romualdez on Sunday said he expects BBM to follow up on the successes of his administration, build on the progress of existing programs, emphasize the importance of unity among all Filipinos and focus on continued and immediate delivery of essential social services.

The Philippine president delivers the SONA every year to report the state of the country, unveil the government’s agenda for the coming year, and grab the opportunity to urge Congress to pass priority measures.

Article 7, Section 23 of the 1987 Constitution mandates the president to “address the Congress at the opening of its regular session.”

The SONA 2024 will be aired via livestream on the government's channel PTV, Presidential Communications Facebook page, and RTVM YouTube channel.
