MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. formally announced the total ban of Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) in the Philippines.

"Kailangan na itigil ang panggulo nito sa ating lipunan at paglalapastangan sa ating bansa,” Marcos said in his third State of the Nation Address (SONA) at the Batasang Pambansa on Monday, July 22.
"Effective today, all POGOs are banned," Marcos added.
After the decision by the President, a loud chant of 'BBM' was heard all over the Batasang Pambansa.
Senate President Chiz Escudero and Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez also seem to be happy after the decision of Marcos.
"I hereby instruct PAGCOR to wind down and cease the operations of POGOs by the end of the year," the President said.
