The emotions of netizens were stirred by the "free ride" offered by a tricycle driver from Balanga, Bataan because his daughter passed the May 2024 Nursing Board Exam.
In the Facebook post of the trike driver, Froilan Canare Manrique, a sign inside his passenger tricycle can be seen declaring that the fare is free for anyone who rides because of his daughter's success in the board exam.

"Blessing is sharing," he said.
In another Facebook post, the father's pride in his child's achievement can be seen.
"CONGRATS TO MY UNICA HIJA”
“For passing the nursing 2024 licensure exam.”
“May REGISTERED NURSE na ako..sulit na sulit ang paghihirap mo...mula umpisa sa pag aaral at sa pag review..”
“Mabait talaga si lord, yun hiniling natin sa Manaoag..Quiapo Church..Saint Claire at Saint Jude..promise po babalik kami ulit at mag papasalamat..”
“Proud si mommy at tatay..kahit namamasada lang ng tricycle at rider..nakapagpatapos na ng nursing," it can be read.
In an interview, Froilan shared that he struggled through his livelihood as a tricycle driver to support his daughter Leire Lani's education, who is now a fully licensed registered nurse (RN).
From elementary to college, Froilan claimed that his earnings from driving have been invested to put his only daughter through school. He said he has been in the profession for 23 years and ensures that he personally brings his daughter to and from her destinations.
He hopes that his daughter will serve as an inspiration to other students to be grateful to their parents who sacrifice to see them through their education.
"Marami rin mga student or anak na hindi pinapahalagahan 'yong paghihirap ng parents nila. Meron hindi nakakatapos kahit may pera sila, minsan nakakapag-asawa agad. Kaya pasalamat din ako kay lord at binigyan Niya kami ng mabait at matalinong anak," he said.
Congratulations!
