MANILA, Philippines – The complete list of passers of the March 3, 2024 Civil Service Exam or Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) for SubProfessional Level exam is available here on Thursday, May 9, 2024.
UPDATE: A total of 57,683 individuals or 17.20 percent passed the exam. From the total of 297,952 candidates who took the CSE Professional Level, 51,311 successfully passed, resulting in a pass rate of 17.22 percent. Additionally, out of 37,433 individuals who participated in the Subprofessional Level, 6,372 passed, yielding a pass rate of 17.02 percent.
“Congratulations to all the passers of the CSE-PPT. Your accomplishment not only reflects your personal capabilities but also underscores your preparedness to contribute significantly to the betterment of the civil service. Nawa ay manatili ang inyong determinasyon at sipag sa pagpasok sa serbisyo publiko,” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.
Region IV posted the highest passing rate with 9,473 passers out of 40,549 examinees or 23.36 percent. NCR and Region III followed the ranking with 23.30 and 23.12 passing rates, respectively. These rates account for 12,690 passers out of 54,468 examinees for NCR, and 4,541 passers out of 19,642 examinees for Region III.
UPDATE: The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said civil service exam results are out at 12:00 noon today!
"The results from the CSE-PPT March 2024 will be accessible online starting on May 9, 2024, at 12:00 PM. On this date and time, individuals can directly visit this website to view their results," CSC said.
CSC issued Examination Advisory No. 06 series 2024 to provide takers of the exact release date of results, which is ahead of the original schedule of May 12, and the details of availability of Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS) and Certification of Eligibility (CoE).

Verification of Rating via OCSERGS
Examinees, both passed and failed, can generate their individual test result using the OCSERGS not later than May 19, 2024 (Sunday) according to the CSC advisory.
OCSERGS can be accessed through the CSC website or through this link (https://erpo.csc.gov.ph/ocsergs/).
Note: Since said date falls on a Sunday, the availability of the OCSERGS may be adjusted/moved to the next regular working day.
The agency further announced that no report of rating shall be mailed to individual examinees.
Certification of Eligibility (CoE)
Passers may request for a Certification of Eligibility (CoE) printed on CSC official letterhead by June 12, 2024. The letterhead CoE is issued free of charge by the concerned CSC Regional or Field Office where the exam was taken.
Note: Since June 12, 2024 is a regular holiday for Philippine Independence, the availability of the CoE may be adjusted/moved to the next regular working day.
Passers may also opt to apply for regular Certification of Eligibility (printed on security paper at cost).
Civil Service Exam Coverage
The examination aims to measure the individual’s preparedness to enter government service.
The CSE-PPT covered the following subjects (in English and Filipino):
SubProfessional Level (SubProf) - 165 items; time limit is 2 hours and 40 minutes
- Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
- Clerical Ability (filing, spelling)
- Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)
It also covers general information subjects like Philippine Constitution, Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713), Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts; and Environment Management and Protection.
Passing Score
CSC said that passers who got at least 80 percent rating will be eligible for a position in the civil service provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements - education, experience, and training.
2024 Civil Service Exam Schedule
The next Civil Service Exam for Professional and Sub-Professional Levels is scheduled on August 11, 2024. Application period is from May 13, 2024 until June 13, 2024.
