MANILA, Philippines – Miss Bulacan Chelsea Anne Manalo is Miss Universe Philippines 2024!
Manalo was crowned by Michelle Dee of Makati as her successor at the end of the coronation night held in the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday, May 22.

She is noted as the first Black Filipino American candidate to be selected to represent the Philippines at Miss Universe.
Manalo will represent the Philippines at the Miss Universe 2024 pageant to be held in Mexico on September 28.
Manalo was among the standouts during the preliminary interviews. She also won the Miss Jojo Bragais runway challenge.
In the final question and answer portion, she was asked: "You are beautiful and confident, how will you use these qualities to empower others?"
Her winning answer was: "As a woman of color, I have always faced challenges in my life. I was told that beauty has standards, actually. But for me, I have listened and always believed in my mother to always believe in yourself, and uphold the values that you have in yourself because of this I am already influencing a lot of you facing me right now as a transformational woman. I have here 52 other delegates with me who have helped me be the woman that I am. Thank 'you."
Manalo will also take home the following prizes: Megaworld Sam Rita award and will be ambassador for the brands Philippine Airlines, Jell Life, Creamsilk, Search Fitness Lifestyle, PLDT Home and Bingo Plus.
Also announced early Thursday were the runners up of the pageant and appointments for four other titles.

53 candidates from around the country competed for the coveted title. They were chosen by Miss Universe Philippines Organization accredited partners, who organized local pageants that will send competitors to the national pageant.
Kapuso stars Alden Richards, Gabbi Garcia, Tim Yap, together with Miss Universe 2022 R'Bonney Gabriel, and American TV personality Jeannie Mai served as the hosts for this year's pageant.
