Man in ‘prank that gone wrong’ receives blessings from individuals, businesses

MANILA, Philippines – What if a believed "prank" that literally sacrificed oneself for a prize, which in the end turned out to be untrue, actually resulted in yielding and opening more blessings and opportunities?

The "April Fools' Day post" of the Takoyaki store named "Taragis" is currently making rounds on social media after a man followed it and got the logo tattooed on his forehead for the prize of ₱100,000.

April Fool's Day is an annual event celebrated in many countries on April 1st. On this day, people play practical jokes and hoaxes on each other, often referred to as "April Fools' pranks." These pranks can range from harmless tricks, like telling someone there's a spider on their shoulder when there isn't, to more elaborate and elaborate hoaxes. Today, it is a light-hearted day where people engage in playful deception and good-natured trickery.

The post stated that whoever is the first to get their logo tattooed on their forehead will be given a prize of ₱100,000.

Ramil Albano seemed to have believed in it, as he immediately read the mechanics and indeed took on the challenge of the takoyaki store. However, it turned out to be just a prank for April Fools' Day, so they couldn't fulfill the promised prize.

“Let this serve as a reminder to us all how important reading comprehension is. It’s April Fools’ Day. Never trust anything or anyone. The same as any other day,” Taragis said in a statement.

“Once more, Taragis Takoyaki is not accountable for the events that occurred,” they reiterated.

Netizens didn't appreciate what the takoyaki store said, thus they received various criticisms. It was deemed that they should give what is due to Ramil because of the distress caused by their prank. Even former Comelec Commissioner Rowena Guanzon spoke about it, saying that if she were the business owner, she would give the prize to Ramil.

The Facebook page "Project Glow Up" granted him ₱100,000, while the Facebook group "KasKasan Buddies" and cheese food stand "ChizMozza" pledged to provide him with ₱10,000 each.

"To Sir Ramil Albano, this is not an April [Fools'] prank. We will be giving you ₱100,000 for being dedicated in taking up the challenge full-heartedly! You are the winner for us!" they wrote.
