MANILA, Philippines – Television and Production Exponents (TAPE) Inc.'s noontime show "Tahanang Pinakamasaya" has bid farewell, multiple sources said.
During the last episode of the show on Saturday, March 2, the hosts felt emotional and hugged each other, but did not announce the departure of their program.
"Ano man ang gawin mo at ano mang problemang kakaharapin, do everything for love. Ganyan ang pagmamahal namin sa inyo mga Kapuso. Araw-araw kami ni Paolo at ang TP family at Tape Inc. maghatid ng 'Tahanang Pinakamasaya' sa bawat pamilya Pilipino. Siyempre, thank you din sa ating advertisers at supporters at mga Kapuso natin (Whatever you do and whatever problems you may face, do everything for love. That's how we love you, Kapuso. Every day, Paolo, the TP family and Tape Inc. strive to bring the 'Tanghalang Pinakamasaya' to every Filipino family. Thank you also to our advertisers, supporters and Kapuso)," the show's main host, former Manila mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso, said at the end of the show.
"Maraming maraming salamat po. At ito po ang grand na Sabado. Isa na namang Sabadong hindi natin malilimutan at lahat ng ito ay alay namin para sa inyo mula sa pamilya ng Tape Inc. — ang tagahatid ng tulong-saya at unli sorpresa mula pa noong 1979 sa pamamagitan ng 'Eat Bulaga,' hanggang ngayon dito sa 'Tahanang Pinakamasaya' (Thank you very much. This is a grand Saturday. Another Saturday we won't forget, and all of this is dedicated to you from the Tape Inc. family — the provider of joy and unlimited surprises since 1979 through 'Eat Bulaga,' up to now here at 'Tahanang Pinakamasaya')," host Paolo Contis added.
The Facebook page of the Tahanang Pinakamasaya is no longer accessible after the program aired on Saturday.
Meanwhile, actress-comedienne and host Chariz Solomon confirmed in a social media post that the noontime show aired its finale episode last Saturday.
“I'm excited for God's greater purpose for this Beautiful family. #TahanangPinakamasaya indeed,” Solomon captioned her post.
However, the actress confirmed in the comments section of her Instagram post that it was indeed their last day.
“Sis, true ba last day n'yo kahapon Saturday?,” one Instagram follower asked Solomon.
“Sadly, opo. But praying for the best days ahead,” she replied.
Solomon hopes the crew and staff of the variety show will be able to find another job.
“Mababait po ang mga kasamahan namin dyan, at napakagagaling na tao. They work whole heartedly, at grabe po ang prinsipyo sa buhay. Kaya po ipagdarasal ko na mabigyan sila agad ng trabaho, para sa kanilang pamilya,” she added.
On January 6, TAPE Inc. rebranded their noontime show to "Eat Bulaga" to "Tahanang Pinakamasaya!" after Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon (TVJ) won their trademark case.
Aside from Moreno and Contis, main hosts of the program include Buboy Villar, Betong Sumaya, Cassy and Mavy Legaspi, and Chariz Solomon. Co-hosts include Alexa Miro, Kimpoy Feliciano, Dasuri Choi, Glaiza de Castro, Kokoy de Santos, Michael Sager, Yasser Marta, Winwyn Marquez and Arra San Agustin.
According to reports, GMA Network and Tape Inc. will release a joint official statement this Monday, March 4.
