MANILA, Philippines – The March 2024 Civil Service Exam results or Career Service Examination-Pen and Paper Test (CSE-PPT) full list of passers and topnotchers (top 10) for professional and subprofessional level are released online on Thursday, May 9, 2024 or in 67 calendar days after the exam.
UPDATE: A total of 57,683 individuals or 17.20 percent passed the exam. From the total of 297,952 candidates who took the CSE Professional Level, 51,311 successfully passed, resulting in a pass rate of 17.22 percent. Additionally, out of 37,433 individuals who participated in the Subprofessional Level, 6,372 passed, yielding a pass rate of 17.02 percent.
“Congratulations to all the passers of the CSE-PPT. Your accomplishment not only reflects your personal capabilities but also underscores your preparedness to contribute significantly to the betterment of the civil service. Nawa ay manatili ang inyong determinasyon at sipag sa pagpasok sa serbisyo publiko,” said CSC Chairperson Karlo Nograles.
Region IV posted the highest passing rate with 9,473 passers out of 40,549 examinees or 23.36 percent. NCR and Region III followed the ranking with 23.30 and 23.12 passing rates, respectively. These rates account for 12,690 passers out of 54,468 examinees for NCR, and 4,541 passers out of 19,642 examinees for Region III.
The first CSE-PPT this year was administered in 16 regions nationwide on March 3, 2024 (Sunday).
CSC said that passers who got at least 80 percent rating will be eligible for a position in the civil service provided the eligibles meet the qualifications and other requirements - education, experience, and training.

CIVIL SERVICE EXAM COVERAGE
The CSE-PPT is a general ability test designed to measure an individual’s preparedness to enter government service.
The CSE-PPT covered the following subjects (in English and Filipino):
Professional Level (Prof) -170 items with a time limit of 3 hours and 10 minutes
- Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
- Analytical Ability (word analogy and logical reasoning)
- Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)
SubProfessional Level (SubProf) - 165 items; time limit is 2 hours and 40 minutes
- Numerical Ability (number sequence, basic operation, and word problem)
- Clerical Ability (filing, spelling)
- Verbal Ability (vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, and correct reasoning of thought process)
General information items on the following for both levels:
- Philippine Constitution;
- Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees (R.A. 6713);
- Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts; and

RELEASE OF RESULTS
"The List of Passers of the 03 March 2024 CSE-PPT for Professional and SubProfessional levels shall be posted on the CSC Website www.csc.gov.ph | Examination Results by 09 May 2024," the Civil Service Commission (CSC) advised through Examination Advisory No. 06, s. 2024 on Thursday.
UPDATE: CSC said civil service exam results are out at 12:00 noon today!
May 3, 2024 Update: CSC confirmed through Examination Advisory No. 06, s. 2024 the exact release date of March 2024 CSE-PPT results."The list of passers shall be posted the CSC Website by May 9, 2024 (Thursday)."
Previously, the CSC is targeting May 12, 2024 (Sunday) release of CSE-PPT results or 70 calendar days after the examination. This was announced through Examination Announcement No. 05, s. 2023.
OCSERGS/VERIFICATION OF RATING
Examinees, both passed and failed, may get their individual test results using the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS), which can also be accessed through the CSC website by May 19, 2024 or as indicated in the corresponding CSC issuance/advisory.
PREVIOUS EXAM
In the August 2023 civil service exam, 64,635 examinees out of 345,194 (18.72%) successfully hurdled the tests. Of the total passers, 56,942 examinees hurdled the Professional Level while 7,693 passed the Subprofessional Level. Patricia D. Victa from the National Capital Region (NCR) topped the Professional level with a rating of 93.60%. Leonard Brian E. Nicolas, also from NCR led the Sub-Professional level with a rating of 90.83.
In the March 2023 civil service exam, 64,420 examinees out of 381,607 (16.88%) passed the exams. A total of 54,478 or 16.42 percent out of 331,816 examinees passed the Professional Level Examination, while 9,942, representing 19.97 percent of the 49,791 examinees, passed the Subprofessional Level exam. With a rating of 92.63, Glenn C. Gonzales from the National Capital Region (NCR) topped the Professional level, while LM Tricia T. De La Cruz from Western Visayas topped the Subprofessional level with a 90.24 rating.
In the August 2022 civil service exam, a total of 26,307 out of 138,703 (18.97%) examinees passed the test. The Professional Level logged 22,241 passers out of 117,938 examinees or a passing rate of 18.86%. Meanwhile, 4,066 out of 20,765 examinees or 19.58% passed the Subprofessional Level. Leading the passers for professional level is Kate Angelica P. Pasobillo from Bicol Region, who garnered a rating of 90.08%. Rey Timothy H. Nalica from Southern Tagalog bested the subprofessional exam with 94.77% rating.
In the June 2022 civil service exam, CSC released results in sixty-eight (68) calendar days after the exam. The agency named 20,996 out of 129,117 (16.26%) examinees who passed the test. In terms of level of exam, 17,503 out of 109,228 takers of the Professional test hurdled the exam, translating to a passing rate of 16.02%. The passing rate for the Subprofessional test is slightly higher at 17.56% or 3,493 passers out of 19,889 examinees. Pauline Delgado from the National Capital Region (NCR) topped the professional level exam with 96.77%. Meanwhile, John Patrick Las Pinas from Davao Region bested the subprofessional level exam with 95.74%.
In the March 2022 civil service exams, CSC announced results in exactly sixty (60) calendar days after the exam. A total of 12,179 out of 70,833 (17.19%) successfully passed the examinations - 9,651 out of 56,980 (16.94%) for the professional level and 2,528 passers out of 13,853 examinees (18.25%) for the sub-professional level. CSC did not release list of topnotchers.
For the March 2024 CS exam results, takers may expect of passing rate around 10-20%.

CERTIFICATE OF ELIGIBILITY TO PASSERS
Passers shall be issued a Certification of Eligibility (CoE) printed on CSC letterhead.
Those who will pass should coordinate and verify first through CSC announcement if their Certification is already available before going to the CSC Regional/Field Office. Contact numbers of the CSC office may be accessed at the CSC website.
NEXT CIVIL SERVICE EXAM
The next Civil Service Exam for Professional and Sub-Professional Levels is scheduled on August 11, 2024. Application period is from May 13, 2024 until June 13, 2024.
