FULL RESULTS: March 2024 LET teachers board exam list of passers, top 10

MANILA, Philippines – The March 2024 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) or teachers board exam results, together with the full list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools, for Elementary and Secondary levels are released online on May 24 or in forty-seven (47) working days after the exam.

As announced, a total of 71,429 out of 130,744 (54.63%) hurdled the March 2024 LET.

PRC named 20,890 elementary teachers out of 44,764 examinees (46.67) and 50,539 secondary teachers out of 85,980 examinees (58.78%) who successfully passed the exams.

It is further announced that of the 20,890 elementary teacher passers, 17,561 are first timers and 3,329 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 41,787 passers are first timers and 8,752 are repeaters.

The results of examination with respect to thirty-six (36) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

UPDATE: LET results are expected to be released today!

On May 9, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informed the public that the target date of release of the March 2024 LET results has been moved from May 20, 2024 to May 24, 2024.

PRC conducted the first regular LET board exam this year on Sunday, March 17, 2024 in at least 36 testing centers nationwide.

Testing centers include Manila, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Calapan, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Palawan, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Meanwhile, PRC designated additional test centers to accommodate the influx of examinees taking the teachers' board exam and to avoid unnecessary distant travel and additional expenses on the part of hopefuls: Bacolod, Bayambang, Bohol, Catanduanes, Cauayan, Digos, Dumaguete, General Santos, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Kidapawan, Laguna, Occidental Mindoro, Marinduque, Masbate, Mati, Romblon and Tagum.

The Board for Professional Teachers is composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy, Members.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

The schedule for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration for Elementary and Secondary level exams will be announced once results are out online.

Date of Registration: TBA

The requirements for the issuance of Certificate of Registration and Professional Identification Card (ID) are the following:
  • Notice of Admission (for identification only);
  • downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal;
  • two pieces passport size pictures (colored with white background and complete nametag);
  • two sets of documentary stamps;
  • 1 piece short brown envelope.

PRC said that successful examinees should PERSONALLY register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The date of the oathtaking ceremony of the new successful examinees in the said examinations WILL BE ANNOUNCED LATER.

HOW TO CHECK LET EXAM SCORE?

LET board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

WHAT IS THE PASSING RATE OF LET?

To pass the LET, aspirant must obtain an average rating of not less than 75% and must have no rating lower than 50% in any of the tests.

Note that passing the teacher licensure exam and having valid professional license from the Commission are necessary before the practice of teaching profession in the Philippines. Otherwise, those who will violate may face fine and imprisonment based on penal provisions.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION

The March 2024 LET covered two (2) parts for Elementary - General Education (40%) and Professional Education (60%) and three (3) parts for Secondary - General Education (20%), Professional Education (40%) and Specialization (40%).

The test covered the major areas of General Education (English, Filipino, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences), Professional Education (teaching profession, social dimensions of education, principles of teaching, education technology, curriculum development, facilitating learning, child and adolescent development, assessment of student learning, developmental reading, field study and practice teaching). The 8 specializations for Secondary Teacher with exam coverage depends on the chosen course: English, Filipino, Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Values Education, MAPEH and TLTVE (Technology Livelihood, Tech-Voc Education.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Only Mathematics (under Specialization subject) was allowed to use calculator in conjunction with specific features. The modification is pursuant to Resolution No. 25, series of 2019 issued by the Board for Professional Teachers.

RELEASE OF LET RESULTS

Based on PRC Resolution No. 1728 series of 2023, the target release of March 2024 LET board exam result is on May 20, 2024 (Monday) or 41 working days after the test.

The computed total number of workdays excludes 9 Saturdays and Sundays and five (5) holidays on March 28 (Maundy Thursday), March 29 (Good Friday), April 9 (The Day of Valor), April 10 (Eid'l Fitr) and May 1 (Labor Day).

PRC Board News, our partner website for PRC exam results, said that the probable release date of March 2024 LET exam results is between May 3-24 or in 30-45 working days after the exam.

Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. This is due to several factors such as the total number of examinees, effect of work cancellations due to calamities and unforeseen events and system of checking the pencil-based tests.

PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS

In the September 2023 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET), PRC released results in fifty-five (55) working days after the exams. A total of 23,782 elementary teachers out of 50,593 examinees (47.01%) and 53,995 secondary teachers out of 95,969 examinees (56.26%) successfully passed the exams. University of Santo Tomas (UST) and Cebu Technological University (CTU)-Argao tied on highest spot for Elementary Level while UST occupied the top place for Secondary Level.

In the March 2023 LET, PRC announced results in forty-two (42) working days. The agency named 24,819 elementary teachers out of 60,896 examinees (40.76%) and 48,005 secondary teachers out of 102,272 examinees (46.94%) who successfully hurdled the exams. Bohol Island State University (BISU)-Tagbilaran City and UST topped the Elementary Level while Philippine Normal University (PNU)-Mindanao led the Secondary level exams.

In the October 2022 massive LET, PRC was able to release results after fifty-six (56) working days. A total of 49,783 elementary teachers out of 91,468 examinees (54.43%) and 71,080 secondary teachers out of 139,534 examinees (50.94%) successfully passed the exams. PNU-Manila was the top performing school for Elementary Level while University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and University of the Philippines - Visayas - Iloilo City tied for highest place in the Secondary Level.

In the June 2022 LET (fourth and final Batch of exam for the postponed board exams in 2020-2021), the PRC released results in 30 working days. The agency named 8,667 elementary teachers out of 17,149 examinees (50.54%) and 10,193 secondary teachers out of 20,191 examinees (50.48%) who passed the exams. None of the schools qualified for the top performing school list for Elementary Level. Meanwhile, Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) was the lone top performing school in the Secondary Level.
