MANILA, Philippines – Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) Chair Lala Sotto admitted that she finds enjoyment in watching "EXpecially For You," one of the new and popular segments of the noontime show "It's Showtime."
In an interview with the Philippine Entertainment Portal or PEP, Sotto stated that the noontime show now seems cooperative after the sanction.
It's worth noting that the show was previously slapped with a 12-airing day suspension from October 14 to 27, 2023, following what was reported as consecutive violations. The incident that truly led to the suspension was the "icing incident" involving Vice Ganda and Ion Perez during the segment "Isip Bata," which garnered various reactions and comments from netizens and viewers.
In fact, the agency continues to monitor various television programs, including It's Showtime. Sotto admitted during the interview that she finds enjoyment in "EXpecially For You," the love matching segment of the show.
Since the suspension occurred, Sotto mentioned that she and Vice Ganda have not met face-to-face. According to the MTRCB chair, they have never personally crossed paths.
