MANILA, Philippines – The most anticipated UAAP Season 86's Cheerdance Competition (CDC) unfolds today, December 2, 2023 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Check out on this page for the live updates and results of the annual one-day sporting event.
Eight UAAP-member schools battle to win the hearts of judges and viewers. The top three (3) cheerdance teams will be named as podium finishers at the end of the competition.

Reigning UAAP Cheerdance Competition champion National University (NU) Pep Squad is seeking for a title repeat under a new head coach. They are set to perform second in the 2023 CDC.
NU has become a household name in the cheerdance landscape since winning the university's first crown in 2013. The NU Pep Squad has won seven of the last nine titles.
Opening the curtain for today's event at 2:00 pm will be the University of the East (UE) Pep Squad, this season's host school and 4th placer last season.
The criteria for judging were divided into two: cheerleading and dance criteria.
The UAAP announced that for the very first time, a Malaysian judge will join the pool for this year’s competition with dance element as its highest composition.
Squads will showcase 5 to 6 minutes of performance each with the timer starting the moment each team steps on the blue mats, a significant change from the old practice.
