PLE RESULT: October 2023 Physician board exam list of passers, top 10

MANILA, Philippines – The October 2023 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE) or Physician board exam results, including the official list of passers, topnotchers (top 10), top performing schools and performance of schools, are released online on November 10 or in seven (7) working days after the exam.

As announced, 4,083 out of 6,456 (63.24%) successfully passed the exams.

The result of examination with respect to one (1) examinee was withheld pending validation of the submitted documents.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the second Physician board exam this year in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga on October 20, 21, 27 and 28, 2023.

The members of the Board of Medicine who gave the licensure examination are Dr. Godofreda V. Dalmacion, Chairman; Dr. Eleanor B. Almoro, Dr. Zenaida L. Antonio, Dr. Martha O. Nucum, Dr. Efren C. Laxamana and Dr. Joanna V. Remo, Members.

REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING

PRC said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Date of Registration: December 14 - 15, December 18 - 22, December 26 - 29, 2023, January 2 - 5, January 8 - 12, January 15 - 19 and January 22 - 25, 2024,

Those who will register are required to bring the following:

• downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
• notice of admission (for identification only)
• 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
• 2 sets of documentary stamps
• 1 piece short brown envelope

Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

VERIFICATION OF RATINGS

Physician board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.

Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and enter the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.

COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION

The PLE or medicine board exam covered the following subjects:

October 20: biochemistry, anatomy and histology, microbiology and parasitology

October 21: physiology, legal medicine, ethics and medical jurisprudence and pathology

October 27: pharmacology and therapeutics surgery and opthalmology, otolaryngology and rhinology and medicine

October 28: obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics and nutrition and preventive medicine and public health

RELEASE OF RESULTS

According to PRC Resolution No. 1589 s. 2022, the October 2023 Physician board exam results are target for release on Monday, November 6 or in three (3) working days.

NOTE: Results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice.

November 7, 2023 Update: PRC exclusively confirmed with The Summit Express through an inquiry that PLE results will be released on Friday, November 10, 2023 or in seven (7) working days after the last day of exam.

"We would like to inform you that the results of the Physicians Licensure Examination will be released on November 10, 2023. The release of results in accordance with PRC Resolution No. 1589 is merely a target date," PRC Licensure Office told The Summit Express.

November 10 Update: In another inquiry on Friday, PRC told The Summit Express of the expected time of release of PLE results today, November 10. To quote,

"We would like to inform you that the results of the Licensure Examination for Physicians will be released today, November 10, 2023. Kindly anticipate the result around midnight or later in the evening.

We sincerely appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this process. We understand the eagerness and significance of the PLE results and we assure you that every precaution is being taken to ensure accuracy and fairness of the results."

PREVIOUS EXAMS

In the March 2023 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), PRC announced results in three (3) working days from the last day of examination. A total of 1,573 out of 2,887 successfully passed the exams. Aira Cassandra Suguitan Castro from Mariano Marcos State University - Batac topped the board with 89.00%.

In the October 2022 PLE, PRC released results in six (6) working days. A total of 3,826 out of 5,958 passed the exams. Justin Adriel Zent Gautier Togonon from University of the Philippines (UP)-Manila aced the board with 89.00%.

In the March 2022 Physician board exam, PRC released results in four (4) working days. A total of 1,427 out of 2,837 passed the exams. Linnaeus Louisse Abarrientos Cruz from UP-Manila topped the board with 90.25%.

In the October-November 2021 Physician board exams, PRC announced results in seven (7) working days. The agency named 1,677 out of 2,302 who passed the exams. Ian Gabriel Alparaque Juyad from UP-Manila aced the board with 87.50%.

In the September 2021 PLE, results out in five (5) working days. A total of 1,084 out of 1,546 passed the exams. Maria Inez Sellado Benedicto from West Visayas State University - La Paz and Jude Philip Pozon Cebrecus from Cebu Institute of Medicine tied on highest spot with 87.83%.

In the March 2021 board exams, PRC released results after three (3) working days. A total of 1,234 out of 1,927 passed the grueling exams. Jeremiah Dimapeles Lim from Far Eastern University (FEU)- Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation topped the board with 89.67%.

In the November 2020 Physician board exams, PRC announced results after 7 working days. A total of 3,538 out of 4,704 passed the series of tests. Jomel Garcia Lapides from UP - Manila aced the board with 88.67%.
