Ateneo de Davao grad ‘did not pressure himself,’ Top 5 in October 2023 ChemEng board exam

Who wouldn't feel nervous and pressured when taking a board exam? It seems like everyone taking the board exam would experience anxiety and pressure. But if you not only manage to stay calm under pressure but also end up ranking first, you're on a different level!

In the face of pressure and obstacles, Neal Audrey Estrelloso, a graduate of Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) Batch 2023, emerged as one of the top performers in the October 2023 Chemical Engineer Licensure Exam (ChELE), obtaining 86.70% rating, made himself in the fifth rank.

“I did not pressure myself… as I already have a lot on my plate. I set my sights on grabbing the license, and thankfully, the success of our batch followed,” Estrelloso said in his interview with the campus’ student publication “Atenews.”

Aside from that, he also graduated “Cum Laude.”

“I can’t imagine how proud my freshman year self would be of us right now. We did it!,” he said on his Facebook post dated October 23.

“Passing the Oct 2023 ChELEs with flying colors will forever be an achievement I hold close to my heart, a testament of months of my dedication and relentless hard work.”

He expressed gratitude to the various significant people in his life in his appreciation post.

“As I celebrate this milestone, I would like to express my utmost gratitude and appreciation to my family, especially my parents, Johnnel & Ellenette Estrelloso, for their unwavering support and belief. This accomplishment is as much yours as it is mine.”

“Also, I extend my thanks to everyone who has been supporting me upfront and on the sidelines and for believing in me when I myself did not.”

“To my roomies, Janella, Reynamae, Junnie and Lorence uwu, thank you for journeying alongside me and filling those 4-5 months of preparation with laughter and fun and making the process bearable. I couldn’t have gone through this with my sanity intact without all of you by my side and I am honored to have been by yours.”

Today, I stand at the crossroads of opportunity and cannot wait to see what the future has in store for me. The best is yet to come!

He ended his post with a quote from “Blondie.”

“‘Without your past, you could never have arrived– so wondrously and brutally, by design or some violent, exquisite happenstance...here,” it can be read.

Looking ahead, Estrelloso mentioned that he is currently considering potential career paths while preparing for the Chemical Technician Licensure Exam (ChTLE) in December.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) administered the exam from October 14 to 16, and the list of successful candidates and topnotchers was published four days later on October 20.
