MANILA, Philippines – What would you do if, upon waking up in the morning, you discover that you've already won a lucky draw that will provide you with a substantial amount of money for 25 years?
Filipina Freilyn Angob got lucky and won in a lottery draw in the United Arab Emirates with a prize of 25,000 dirhams or equivalent to almost Php 387,000 per month, not just for a “one time big time,” but for 25 years!
According to GMA Pinoy TV’s report, Freilyn, a global Pinoy who has been living and working in the UAE for 10 years, shared that she had plans to get married, but due to the lack of sufficient savings with her partner, they couldn't proceed.
Freilyn used to work as a dental nurse but studied to become a laser technician to work abroad.
According to Emirates Draw, the 32-year-old laser technician was the second Grand Prize Winner of the FAST5 draw.
The Emirates Draw FAST5 is purportedly a weekly game that offers participants the chance to win the Grand Prize of 25,000 dirhams every month for 25 years, along with three Guaranteed Winners of 75,000 dirhams, 50,000 dirhams, and 25,000 dirhams.
In the process, participants are said to select five numbers out of 42 to have a chance of winning and taking home the said prize.
Based on Emirates Draw's website, she reportedly couldn't believe the luck that came her way.
“I will never forget that moment. I thought to myself again, maybe I won a small cash prize. But when I received the congratulatory email mentioning that I won the Grand Prize, me and my fiancé jumped from joy,” she stated.
Because of the financial security that her win will provide, Angob and her partner can now fulfill their plan to get married, as she said.
Congratulations, Freilyn!
