MANILA, Philippines – Netizens were shocked by the sudden public revelation of a woman who introduced herself as the former girlfriend of the late master rapper Francis Magalona, more commonly known as "Francis M."
In the vlog "Pinoy Pawnstar" by social media personality Boss Toyo, former flight attendant Abegail Rait can be seen selling Francis M.'s jersey memorabilia, where she revealed a long-held secret story.
When questioned how they met, she said that the award-winning Pinoy rapper supposedly asked for her phone number after spotting her at the "Eat Bulaga" studio while she was watching. She claimed that she had a relationship with Francis M, and it resulted in the birth of a daughter namely “Gaile Francesca.”
Gaile Francesca allegedly inherited Francis M's talent in singing, rapping, and dancing. Abegail reportedly kept quiet about their “untold story” for 15 years.
Abegail allegedly knew that many would judge their revelation, but she said it's the truth.
“For 15 years, nanahimik ako. Siguro naman ito na lang yung karapatan na puwede kong magawa para sa kaniya [Cheska],” she said.
“Hindi naman ako nagsalita, eh. I know people will judge me but we exist. What we had is real, me and my daughter exist. Mahal niya kami [Francis M] and that’s a fact.”
Abigail was able to sell the memorabilia for Php 500,000, after Boss Toyo haggled it down from Php 700,000.
Based on the Facebook reels uploaded on October 15, the mother and daughter went to the memorial park where the rapper's remains are interred. They went to the grave at Loyola Memorial Park in Marikina City as they commemorated his 59th birth anniversary last October 4, 2023. According to PEP’s report, this is not surprising anymore because two months after the passing of the Philippines' acclaimed King of Rap in 2009, photos of him with Abegail and their baby at that time emerged.
The information that came out also stated that Cheska was baptized on December 28, 2008, in a church in Kawit, Cavite.
Defunct GMA-7 showbiz-oriented shows Startalk and Showbiz Central attempted to cover the story of Francis and Abegail's relationship back then, but some personnel from TAPE Inc., producer of Eat Bulaga, allegedly requested that they withhold the story out of respect for the late rapper's memory and his bereaved family.
Meanwhile, there has been no response, reaction, or statement from Francis M's family regarding the issue, especially his widow, Pia Magalona.
