MANILA, Philippines – Annie Ramirez has bagged the Philippines' third gold medal in the 19th Asian Games.
Ramirez defeated Galina Duvanova of Kazakhstan in the Ju-jitsu Women's -57kg final round on Friday, October 6.
She scored two points over her opponent in securing a golden victory.
The Philippines now has 3 gold, 2 silver and 11 bronze medals in the Asiad.
Just a day before, Ramirez's teammate jiu-jitsu fighter Margarita "Meggie" Ochoa won the country's second gold medal.
On September 30, pole vaulter Ernest John "EJ" Obiena delivered the first gold.
