MANILA, Philippines – Gilas Pilipinas competes in three basketball competitions in the Asian Games 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
This includes teams for men’s and women’s 5-on-5 basketball and men’s 3×3 basketball.
NOTE: Gilas Pilipinas women 3×3 has withdrawn on September 25 after organizers rejected their appeal for two replacement players.
Despite some issues being faced by Gilas 5-on-5 team on their preparations for the Asiad, they are hopeful to end its 25-year medal drought.
The first test began on Tuesday, September 26 as Gilas 5-on-5 team made its highly-anticipated debut in the 19th Asian Games.

Gilas’ mettle will be tested in a couple of days as the nationals square against another PBA import, Rondae “Mamba 2.0” Hollis-Jefferson on September 28.
