MANILA, Philippines – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Tuesday, August 29, the complete results of August 2023 Mining Engineer board exam, including the top performing schools and performance of schools.
PRC and the Board of Mining Engineering administered the licensure exam (MELE) on August 22, 23 and 24, 2023 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and Legazpi.

PREVIOUS EXAMINATIONS
In the August-September 2022 Mining Engineer board exam, University of the Philippines (UP)-Diliman topped the board with 100% passing rate or all 34 of its takers passed. Mindanao State University - Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) ranked second with 90% or 18 out of 20 passed.
In the August 2021 board exam, Bicol University - Legazpi was the lone top performing school with 85.29% passing rate or 29 out of 34 passed.
In the pre-pandemic era (August 2019), UP - Diliman topped the schools with 100% passing rate or all 35 takers passed. Mindanao State University - Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) ranked second with 97.44%.
In the August 2018 MELE, Saint Louis University (SLU) led the schools with 85.54% or 71 out of 83 passed. Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) - University ranked second with 80.36% or 45 out of 56 passed.
