MANILA, Philippines – Five of the Philippines' best schools were included in the 2024 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, with results of the study released on Wednesday, June 27.
The University of the Philippines (UP) is still on the top spot, placing 404 or up by 8 notches from last year, in the top 1,500 institutions from around the world.
Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) also improved in the international ranking, 563rd spot from 651-700 bracket last year.
De La Salle University (DLSU) and University of Santo Tomas (UST) are on 681-690 and 801-850th position, respectively.
University of San Carlos (USC) in Cebu City completed the list on 1201-1400th spot.
Note that UST is the only university in the country with 5 stars rating for being exceptional in these areas: facilities, graduate employability, teaching, research, social responsibility, internationalization and inclusiveness.
