MANILA, Philippines – The University of the Philippines college application (UPCA) results for AY 2023-2024 are released online on Wednesday, May 3.
UP advised applicants to log in to the application portal according to the following time slots. Access https://upadmissionsonline.up.edu.ph/.
For applicants who need to change their registered email address, send an email at upcollegeapplications.oadms+upca2023cea@up.edu.ph.
Qualifiers must reply to the offer by May 15, 2023.
This is UP's third consecutive year of suspending the pen-and-paper UPCAT for incoming first-year applicants.
The premier state university assured that “excellence and equity” are not compromised in accepting new students.
"While forgoing its college admissions test in light of the public health situation, the University of the Philippines (UP) assured the public its ad hoc admissions system is more closely analyzing the applicants’ high school performance so that “excellence and equity” are not compromised in accepting new students," UP said in a statement.
"Excellence refers to choosing the best students for UP education. In contrast, equity refers to democratic access or “leveling the playing field” so that students’ profile reflects the socio-economic and geographic profile of the country," UP explained.
Meanwhile, UP will hold the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) in 2023 for first-year admission in Academic Year 2024-2025. This will be the first time the UPCAT will be held since 2020.
