The father and daughter duo smiled and posed to remember the memorable day when they finished senior high school together. Jenalyn was an Accountancy, Business, and Management (ABM) student while her father took up Humanities and Social Sciences (HUMSS). They finished their senior high level together at Immaculate Conception Polytechnic in Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

According to their school's post on Facebook, Tatay Eleazer is a maintenance worker who worked hard to finish Grade 11 and 12.

In an interview, Jenalyn said there are no words to explain how proud she is of her father who defied the odds and continued to finish his education. She said her father juggled studying and working as a tricycle driver and a utility man.

"No words can explain how proud I am, especially sa Papa ko kasi pinagpatuloy niya ang pag-aaral niya kahit nahihirapan siya, lalo na kasabay ng work niya," Jenalyn said.

She said she's glad she was able to go through her studies alongside her father. They went through hardships and challenges together. Now, they look forward to continuing their college education together too.

"Masasabi ko na all our sacrifices [resulted in a] great success for us. Pinagpatuloy po namin ang pag-aaral at ipagpapatuloy pa rin hanggang sa makatapos kami pareho," she added.

Jenalyn shared that she plans to continue college at a state university in Bulacan taking up a Hospitality Management program. Meanwhile, her father aims to be a teacher, taking up a degree in Education majoring in Physical Education.
