MANILA, Philippines – Filipino contemporary acrobatic dancers Jervin and Anjanette Minor, known as “Power Duo,” showcased a powerful performance in the grand finale of "America’s Got Talent: All Stars" on Monday, February 27 (US time).
Even though the Power Duo didn't make it into the top five on the last night, their performance, which was a mix of aerial acrobatics and floor dances, still wowed the audience and judges. The couple danced to the song "Crystallize," which was performed by American violinist and "AGT" alum Lindsey Sterling.
The duo's performance was described as "mind-blowing" by Sterling. She said, "It was really hard not to just face them the whole time. That was mind-blowing.”
18-year-old aerialist Aidan Bryant was named the first “All-Star” winner. The top 5 finalists were: saxophonist Avery Dixon (runner-up); Ukrainian dance group Light Balance Kids (third place); ventriloquist Ana-Maria Margean (fourth place); and magician Aidan McCann (fifth place).
On Facebook, the couple expressed their pride at being able to represent the Philippines and being named one of the top 11 grand finalists. They posted, “Representing our country, the Philippines, is our greatest honor. Like what we said before, out of 60 (talented, winners & viral acts) all over the world. We are still happy and blessed to be part of the TOP 11 GRAND FINALIST.”
They added that while they did not win the crown, they hoped they made Filipinos proud. “We may not win or get the title of AGT All-Star Grandwinners, but we hope that we still made you all proud because we did our best. We are grateful to have a chance to represent all Filipinos and to meet all the sweet fans around the world,” the couple added.
Back in January 2023, the Power Duo's aerial performance of Calum Scott's "You Are the Reason" wowed the superfans, and they were chosen to compete in the grand finals.
