MANILA, Philippines – The Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) management released the updated train service schedule for 2022 Christmas holidays and New Year 2023.

LRT-1 Holiday Schedule
LRT-1 private operator Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) will implement special shortened operating hours on December 24, 2022 (Christmas Eve) and December 31, 2022 (New Year’s Eve) in observance of the upcoming holiday season.
On December 24, the last trip from LRT-1 Baclaran Station will leave at 8 p.m. while the last train from the recently reopened Roosevelt Station will leave at 8:15 p.m.
While on December 31, 2022, the last train service from Baclaran Station will be at 7 p.m. and from Roosevelt Station at 7:15 p.m.
The first trip on the said dates will still leave both ends of the train line at 4:30 a.m.
LRT-1 will continue to serve passengers on December 25, 2022 (Christmas Day), December 30, 2022 (Rizal Day), and January 1, 2023 (New Year’s Day) following the regular weekends/holiday schedule.
LRT-2 Holiday Schedule
The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) will also implement shortened operating hours on December 24 (Christmas Eve) and December 31 (New Year's Eve).
On December 24, the last trip from Antipolo Station will leave at 8 p.m. while the last train from Recto Station will leave at 8:30 p.m.
While on December 31, 2022, the last train service from Antipolo Station will be at 7 p.m. and from Recto Station at 7:30 p.m.
All stations will open at 5:00 a.m. Normal operating hours (5 am to 9:30 pm) will be implemented on December 25, 2022 and January 1, 2023.
MRT-3 Holiday Schedule
The Department of Transportation (DoTr) announced that operating hours of the MRT-3 will be shortened on Christmas Eve (December 24), Christmas Day (December 25), New Year’s Eve (December 31) and New Year’s Day (January 1).
The last trains from both ends of the MRT-3 line are scheduled to leave earlier than usual on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve, with the last trip from North Avenue slated to leave at 7:48 p.m. and the last trip from Taft Avenue plotted to leave at 8:26 p.m.
There will be regular operations on Rizal Day, December 30, and January 2, 2023.

MMDA Advisories
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced half-day operations on Pasig River Ferry Service on December 23 (Friday). There will be no operations on December 24 (Saturday) and December 25 (Sunday). Resumption of service is on December 26 (Monday).
Meanwhile, the MMDA implements Modified Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program (UVVRP) or Number Coding Scheme from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on weekdays except holidays. Makati City from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
