Dialysis patient passes LET: ‘Huwag sukuan ang pangarap’

MANILA, Philippines – The inspiring story of a board passer of the October 2022 Licensure Exam for Teachers (LET) has gone viral. Arnold Morales proved that chronic kidney disease and taking dialysis would not deter him from achieving his dream of becoming a licensed teacher.

In a post on Facebook, Arnold proudly shared the good news that he passed the board exam for teachers. Even more impressive, he revealed that he was able to do that despite having undergone dialysis for 5 years.

Little did you know, isa akong dialysis patient sa loob ng limang taon.”

Arnold admitted that he didn’t expect to still be able to reach such an achievement due to his circumstances. He encountered difficulties during the review, but he was unfazed and persevered. And despite everything, he was grateful that God had been by his side the entire time.

The newly-licensed teacher encouraged those who failed the exam to keep working toward their goal. He hopes that his story will inspire others to fight and believe that everything has a perfect time. When it's meant to be, nothing, not even illness, can keep you from achieving your goals.

Padayon lang!” he added.

Arnold went viral last year after sharing his story of battling chronic kidney disease while still pursuing a degree in BSED-Filipino at Tayabas Western Academy.

Arnold is still on dialysis while waiting for a kidney donor.
